Since its establishment, the Foundation, in addition to performing the function of a study and scientific research center on the work of Gesualdo Bufalino, has also become an important destination for cultural tourism: those who arrive in Comiso are attracted by the beauty of the place and by the his literary memory that evokes the name of one of the greatest Italian writers of the late twentieth century: Gesualdo Bufalino.
We recommend visiting the suggestive monumental building that houses the Foundation. Inside the premises are the personal library of Gesualdo Bufalino (10,000 volumes) and a permanent bibliographic and documentary exhibition that represents the profile and the multifaceted literary production of the writer. In order to encourage the visitor in the information and knowledge process of the Bufalini work, a multimedia area has been installed for reading digital texts and using audiovisual materials.
School groups, clubs and associations (minimum 10 people; maximum 25 people) can visit the Foundation by booking a guided tour.
Journey time: 1 hour.
Upon request, the Foundation also proposes an itinerary of the Bufalinian places of Comiso, the hometown of the writer (Bufalino tour).
